I am going to make a batch of the MMF (using the recipe posted as "How to Make and Decorate with Marshmallow Fondant MMF") for the first time, but how much does it make? I need to cover a 6 inch and 8 inch round cakes that are 4 inches tall. Do I need to make 2 batches? As you can tell, I am quite the "newbie." Thanks in advance for the info.
I recently made marshmallow fondant for the first time... I used two batches to cover a 10x4, 8x4 and 6x4 and had some left over... I (personally) would make extra just in case (like you can't stop nipping a taste, or someone else does).. I guess a rough estimate would be about 2-3lbs per batch (I don't know which recipe your referencing... but I just used 16oz marshmallows to 2lbs confectioners sugar). Good luck... there might be someone out there who will know more definitely than me and will let you know.
