Fewer parents in the family picture back them (more step families today).
Then: White cake with white icing, all tiers decorated the same. Now: Any flavor, any color any shape, any design!
and we should see the divorce cake numbers...betcha they didnt do too many of those in 1950s!
Of course there was less murdering too!
lol...I got the corning ware to prove it!..And I got marriedn in the 90's..I think it still on!
well I guess I cant complain besides my aunt who always gives crystal from Tiffany's to the Brides, I got money from everyone else. They all conspired to give us money so we could stash it away for a house down payment..I got married in 94. But I did get a wok set and small crock pot I never use from my mil for my birthday 2 years in a row!

Gas at $3.80??? where is that???!!! LOL
As fast as it changes, it could have been just 20 minutes ago!
Yep....Indydebi is right. Gas prices have changed sooooo much, so fast it's unreal I don't know when that was actually written up but was puplished in early JUne.
I wish I'd known where that gas was 20 min ago!! It's 4.09 here. Gross. A year ago it was a dollar cheaper! Love those numbers though. I wish I could charge over $4 for a slice of cake! In my dreams!
I love it! 35cents a serving! Lets see that would make the cake that I am supposed to be pricing right now......$24.50! Ummm....yah I don't think so.

Just saw this on Cnn.com... more advice towards fake cakes and kitchen sheets...
She says "....and the guests never know the difference!" Hmmmm. I'm sitting there eating cake and the 3 tier wedding cake is still sitting there it all it's glory, uncut and untouched?
Because around here, I've never seen a cake removed to the kitchen to be cut. Most folks would wonder what was going on and why it wasn't being cut right there like it always is.
