Hi Friends,

I have been asked to do a nike tennis shoe cake. They want a 3-D tennis shoe sitting on top of a box.

The shoe box is no problem...I have done one of those before. It is the 3-D shoe that I am going to have trouble with.

What is the best way to sculpt the shoe? What pan should I use?

Any advice please...I am terrible at 3-D cakes??? Also...what should I charge for this cake?

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

I found these pics of a Nike shoe cake and in the last one you can see after they've cut it how it was put together, you can see the cake divider, so it looks like a regular sqaure or sheet cake chopped up and stacked then just sculpted round the edges and the top bit looks like a small round, the laces area looks like it could be built up with cake scraps or maybe RKT? icon_confused.gif

Whole cake:

Hope the pics help! icon_smile.gif
