I have a question that this probably strange but I am curious. I have a wooden rolling pin I use for cookies. I made a fondant cake last week for the first time and used Crisco so the fondant didn't stick. Is the Crisco okay on my rolling pin, wasn't sure if about the oil? I know people put oil on wood but didn't know about Crisco. I rinsed it with warm water and let it dry. Thanks for helping with random newbie questions! icon_smile.gif

It should be fine. wooden pins can be washed, just not soaked in water. I use mine for everything and it is about 35 years old. I use dish soap and water, shake it dry and let it finish in the drain.
