Okay, I'm going to crack open that Bear pan I've had for about 9 months now and try to make an Uncle Sam Bear for Friday. I read the instructions and see that 1/2 pound, 1/2 cake should go into Mr. Bear. I really don't have enough ingredients to make a pound cake as well and was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion as to whether or not Toba's recipe (which is pretty dense) would work well in the bear pan.
thanks!

As long as it is a dense receipe it should work fine. Butter Cake receipes also work well.
Good luck

I just made one using a butter fudge mix and added chocolate pudding and the extra egg and it worked perfectly. Very sturdy, but still moist and tasty. HTH

What a cute little mascot. I will try adding some pudding into the mix.
thanks!
