I usually use buttercreme for my cakes but I have one to do tonight for a MOMS group tomorrow and I really want to go a more whipped, fluffy frosting. But I still want to be able to color and decortate- flowers, borders, add color, etc. Does anyone have a good recipe?? Has to be stable outside the fridge since this is an outside function.

Thanks
Sarah

Mine crusts fine, holds up in outdoor temps, and I am told it isn't as sweet (which I don't get, since it's made of SUGAR!!!) or as heavy as other icings.

Yeah ... I'm a little biased as this is the only icing I've used in 25 years.
