I'm still very much a novice bake and need everything in detail
I printed out the WASC recipe and there were no bake times, just how many cake combinations the batter would make.
I'm making 2 9in squares and cupcakes.
Bake until you can smell the cake, and then test with a toothpick.
There are no absolute times, because the temperature of your oven, the amount of batter in your pans, and the size of your pans will make the baking times vary.
So, when I bake WASC (and I do, all the time), I just bake it until I can smell the cakes and then start testing by touch or by toothpick.
Thanks!! I ended up starting at 20min and just kept checking until done But I'll try the "wait till you smell it" method next time!!!
Oh - and if you use this recipe alot, jot down the various baking times for the pans/amount of batter you use...because one day you may have a stuffy nose and the "bake until you smell it" method won't work! LOL
