I have been asked to make a cake (for July 5th) that has a gumpaste figure of a man slumped over, tired in a lawn chair. I am relatively new to gumpaste figures and so I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to do this.
I think I could handle making the man out of gumpaste, but how will I ever make that chair? Is gumpaste even a good material to use for this? Any suggestions? What kind of supports will I need to keep it from collapsing? How long will it need to dry? Sorry, this is so new to me, I have a lot of questions icon_cry.gif

Bump.

I'd like to know too, I see the little chairs on top of the beach themed cakes and am always impressed.
