Warning:
This is going to sound lazy.....
Can I put fondant (Fosters) in my KA with coloring and let the machine do the work? I have to make red and I just hate kneeding it FOREVER....has anyone tried this?

I know some people do, I don't want to risk the machine. If you wanted to try it, use the dough hook.

I'm going to! Not the whole batch, just a small amount, we'll see....

I use my KA with the dough hook to make my MMF. If I am going to color the whole batch I do it when I add the marhsmallow. For smaller amounts I knead it in by hand.

i am no real familiar with fosters fondant, but why not just melt your marshmallows, add the coloring and after you have the right color, just knead by hand? that is what i do for my mmf recipe, you don't have to knead in the color or break your KA. just a thought.....

anytime i use my KA to mix color into commercial fondant, it takes LONGER than it does to do it by hand, AND it IS hard on your machine, and not really worth it, just because of that.
