How about a snowman (either 3D or on a base cake) either holding a gift, or some fireworks in his twig arms?
Maybe melting a bit, with sunglasses and something beachy rather than a scarf?

Instead of X-mas candles do patriotic fireworks?

A wreath with a summer theme? Like a big green wreath but with red/white/blue presents, angels with swim trunks, fireworks, lights etc.

Santa in beach wear? Surfing Santa?
Sleigh as a dune buggy?

Sand 'snow' man?

Gingerbread (beach) house in summer? Flowers/sprinkler (elves in shorts icon_smile.gif)

X-mas sweater with gaudy summer theme rather than gaudy x-mas theme?

Rudolph with sunblock on big red nose and shades? Cool drink in hand...

This is a fun one! Do post pics once you do them, dying to see what they all will look like!

. . . I love some of these images (and details) . . .

and this could be "altered" to represent Santa . . .

and nutcrackers always represent Christmas . . .

A sand sculpture Christmas tree/scene?
A beach umbrella tree?
Santa Claus style bikinis at the beach with red-and-white striped and green-and-white striped beach umbrellas ?
Reindeer having a BBQ?
A wreath of red roses and white daisies?
Santa and Mrs relaxing in a hammock?
Merry Christmas written in the sand?
Crabs and other sea critters wearing holiday hats?
Ooh, ooh - there's a Christmas Island that has a red crab that lives there - Australia, I think.
Hope some of these help stir your thinking.

A pool cake with Santa and some reindeer lounging around it on red and green towels?

A tanned santa (possibly with shades) coming out of a Christmas present? (Think lady jumping out of a cake...)
