Batter To Freeze ?!

G'day CCers,

I get myself into a situation every few weeks when I have several events on weekdays that need cakes, and I have almost no time to do a good job at decorating them because I'm too busy baking icon_sad.gif .

Does anyone have a good recipe which can be frozen or stored in the fridge and then pulled up when there is demand?

My weapon of choice is generally a basic cake (flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter, milk, etc...) which I cut into numerous layers and fill as I please.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to Cake Central. It is unlikely batters will survive being frozen. however, almost every cake will be fine, Baked, cooled, well-wrapped and frozen for a few weeks.

You need a good freezer, odor free, for good storage.
