Need A "dense" Cake Recipe

I need a "dense"cake recipe that would go with cream cheese icing... any good ones ?? The customer suggested a cherry cake, I have never done one and how do I make it dense??

To make a cherry cake just add some well drain ed, chopped marichino (sp?) cherries to the recipe already suggestedicon_smile.gif

If you'd like to try strawberry, I'm making the Cake Mix Doctor's Triple-Decker Strawberry Cake right now...it's very dense and very pink. She has a second strawberry cake which she claims is even heavier...and lists it in her cookbook with strawberry cream cheese frosting. I'll surf around to see if I can find the recipes.
