I've been doing RB for a long time and would like to maybe try flooding.

Since you guys are the best............. could you maybe pass along some tips and tricks to flooding. One of my concerns is that the royal icing seems to thicken really fast; how do you keep the icing thinned?

Thanks

I thin the royal icing out with water-1 tsp. at a time until it is the consistancy of pancake batter. This tutorial is right up your alley:
