I have refrigerated my decorated cake (buttercream) overnight. Will The colors run when it returns to room temp? Any tips on safe transfer for the car ride to the party?

lots of people fridge their bc cakes.. and lots say they are easier to transport cold

I just wouldn't serve cold...

Also the colors will be ok.. just don't touch the cakes icing till it comes back to room temp
