I don't use a smoother, usually cause I've lost it. I just use my hands and work quickly. Mind your rings though

I imagine anything smooth w/ a wide grip would work, preferably something squarish about the size of you hand. A box of mac n cheese?

It's a stretch, but it might work.

I don't use a smoother. I have one but it gets in my way. I work quicker smoothing with my hands. As long as your BC is smooth, you should be able to use your hands and it will turn out fine.

didn't get notification.

thanks, i guess i'll have to live without the smoother. my buttercream isn't always so smooth (look at my pics you'll faint) so we'll see what happens.

good idea about the box, if I need to I'll use that.

thanks for the replies!
