I am making the white almond sour cream cake for my DD's birthday party. I want to do a filling and I need a frosting. I am going to make MMF to put on top.

Can I use cream cheese frosting with MMF? I am thinking a strawberry or raspberry filling? Any recipes would be great. I have never done MMF before.

I've used this recipe from Ladycakes many times with different variations:
http://www.ladycakes.com/Recipes/Fillings/strawberry.htm I've had to vary the amount of cornstarch at times to get it thick enough.

I've substituted Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur, Monin Banana Syrup, and Monin Candied Orange (not at the same time, of course) for the kirsch and it was really good each time. This weekend I'm going to use rose-flavored syrup. Anyway, it's my favorite strawberry filling.

Hopefully someone can help you out with your MMF and cream cheese icing question. I guess it depends if the cream cheese icing has to be refrigerated and if so, can MMF be refrigerated without problems.
