Can someone explain how to put fondant onto a square cake and get the corners to look decent? Do I start at the corners and work my way out or start in the middle of the sides and work my way into the corner area? I have to make a cake that looks like a present so I won't be able to "hide" any mistakes with bowes or things like that on the corners. Thanks in advance.

Well, you've heard it from the expert. If you can, you should check out Sharon's fondant DVD. She addresses how to cover all shapes of cakes. I used her DVD suggestions to do the "present" cake in my photos - which was my first square cake covered in fondant- and her advice was invaluable.
