Does anybody here live in this town or around the area? My bf is thinking of relocating to Laramie and I'm a bit nervous. Just want to find an "insider's" opinion on the state/town.

I went there on vacation one year with my family. We were actually visiting my aunt at Red Feather Lakes, CO and we drove into Laramie. It was a cute town! I really liked it! I have always remembered it. I was about 16 at the time we went and I am now 28 and it has always been stuck in my mind. I will always remember it because I really liked it. I hope someone can give you more info about it! Good luck!

My best friend and her husband lived there for 3 years while he was in grad school there.
They loved the nature/hiking/fishing etc. but wished there had been more restaurant and entertainment selections in the town.

From what she says the housing is reasonable and the views are just amazing.

What was worst for her was the job market in her work type. She ended up working at a Kmart as there was not much in her field.

The town empties out a bit in the summer when the students leave too.
