How do you estimate? I have a 3 tiered cake with gp flowers on top and going down one side. I want to make enough, but not too many. Don't want too many leftovers, I don't have the storage space. Waste of supplies too.

TIA

Jo

I'm sorry I have no idea, but happy birthday to your little girl!

It's a good idea to make some extras in case of breakage. Extras can always be stored in a rubbermaid until you need them...they keep forever, just about. Fondant flowers can be kept in the freezer and they don't get rock hard.

It depends on the flowers and the size of them..

well it depends on the look you want... do you want a full look a random look...how big are they? All these apply... I did a Mother's Day cake and thought I had made enough roses to fill the top... umm NOPE.. had to make more at last moment...thank goodness I had cones ready for more icon_smile.gif
