Do any of you ever use any other type of frosting to decorate your cakes with besides buttercream? Not that I don't like buttercream, infact it's the only kind of frosting that I've ever made from scratch but I was just wondering if there any other kinds you can make that taste good but are still good for decorating? Thanks all! icon_cool.gif

There are numerous variations of 'buttercream' some that don't even include butter as an ingredient. Take a look in the recipe section, you will see many of the variations. You just have to try them to see which you like best. Everyone has a different favorite.

What kind of buttercream do you make? There are buttercreams with Crisco or High-ratio, buttercreams with all butter, or buttercreams that are half-butter and half-Crisco.

You have tons of options so just start trying! icon_wink.gif
