I need to make 7 surf boads out of fondant and need help in paint the designs boards. Can I take a small amount of Vodak and color it with color gel, and use that to paint the surf boards. Nothing have alot of resources at hand. Any help I can get would be great.

I think so. Last week I did that, but with vanilla because I don't have vodka, and it worked out just fine.

vodka or clear vanilla work just fine for painting with icing colors or dusts. Looking forward to seeing the picture of the cake.

Definitely will be ok. Depending on your brand of gel coloring you may not need any thinner either. I use Americolor gels straight and they work well. I have found I need to thin the wilton though in order to paint with it.
