I am working on a large basinet cake and started on the hood (fondant and gumpaste mix) too late and it will not be dry by tomorrow. I then thought about something another cc member said about making the hood from chocolate. I did that and it came out fine but now I don't know if bc can be piped on it or not. Has anyone tried this?
You want to pipe buttercream onto chocolate, sure no worries.
Thanks so much for your reply. I did pipe the bc onto the chocolate with no problem, but it made the piece to heavy so I had to take it off. I ended up just piping a border around the edge of the basinet hood.
