what is the best method of attaching fondant to a buttercream iced cake?
i usually just add a dab of buttercream to the back of the accent and hold it there for a few seconds. If your accent is bigger, than you might want to put some royal icing on the back.
I use a small paint brush and water. I've seen lots of folks who say they use vodka or vanilla, but water works fine for me. If the piece is large and needs stability then I use royal icing.
