So I made the most awesome cake, but the board is too big to fit in the fridge, and delivery is for noon, but the party doesn't start until 4:00. It's not too hot out, and will be in the house (coolest part), but still is not refridgerator temp. Can custard sit out that long??? I don't really want them to have to assemble the cake themselves!

If it gets warm, the custard will soften/melt.

Thanks JoAnnB. That helps. The cakes are the mini-balls (just each half) with the center cored out and custard inside the core. Based on what you said, I'm going it assume that this will be okay. I was more worried about the custard spoiling. And it's not THAT warm here!!! Tomorrow is only supposed to be 26 Celcius, so 78 F for you. Nice, but not tear-out-of-your-skin-hot. Thanks again!
