does anyone happen to know how many cupcakes the wilton butter cake recipe yields and/or the WASC??

A full WASC recipe will yield about 48 cupcakes at least - it is a "double" recipe. I can only fit half (using one box mix) in my mixer (4.5 quart KA) and I get 24 cupcakes out of it with some left over.

Not sure about Wilton butter cake - but I think that is a standard recipe which should give you about 24 cupcakes.
