Hello all,
icon_confused.gif I have a cake to make for my sons last day of school. The teacher request that the cake be in the shape of California. Any suggestions?!?

Hmmm, I would carve a sheet cake into the California shape and decorate with everything synonymous with California, I'm British and have never been to the states so the only thing I can think of is the California Raisins! icon_biggrin.gif But here's some interesting info, with the state flower, bird, tree etc.. so you could put all these things on.

Bake a dense cake and carve it into the shape of Cali. You could probably enlarge a map on a copier to use as a pattern.
