ok so the cake i was asked to is for a tropical/beach themed retirement party its quite a large gathering to it will be 3 tiers stacked on top of each other. now i have quite a few ideas, the best being for the cake topper i would like 2 palm trees with a hammock inbetween. What i am asking all of you is how can i design the rest of the tiers so the design flows into each cake?? any sugesstions would be awsome.

Well here goes my idea. You said 3 tier's. I love the idea of the palm tree's with hammock inbetween for the top tier. I would then do something like the wave's crashing on the beach for the middle tier and finally the bottom tier be an under water theme with fish, star fish, coral, you get it all the colorful under water stuff.
Well good luck and I can't wait to see what you end up doing. When is the cake due, so I can be on the look out.

tropical colors on each tier, hibiscus, coconuts, leis,
the bottom tier could represent the water, the next tier the sand, the next the grassy area for the topper....that's all I've got hth.

I was actually thinking the same thing as superstar2, but she got to it first.
