I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the sponge effect on the cake? And can you use the icing colors to do it?
Luster or petal dusts mixed with alcohol makes the best 'paint'. The alcohol evaporates very quickly to prevent soggy fondant.
I have done it on fondant cakes, using petal dusts mixed with everclear.
