How do you dowel for the ball pan... If I put cardboard under it... you can see the cardboard, the cake is round! I wish I had cut off the bottom of the cake so it was sitting on a more flat ... instead of just the bottom of a sphere. The dowels of course just pushed into the ball cake.. useless!

It was really cute until it crushed the back of the cake..... I'll post pictures later, apparently I have figure out how to resize them.

Anyway, anyone have tips for using the ball pan?

When I made my DD's ball o yarn cake, I cut a cardboard small and coverd the edges with the "rug" I put drinking straws underneath.
