First, I am not a regular fondant user. Second, I'm really tired. I need to attach fondant daisies to my buttercream iced cake. I will be transporting tomorrow aprox 20 min away. What is the best way to attach them? Just brush with water or use buttercream icing? Or is there another way. The daisies are a little heavier than normal. There are at least three layers to them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

usually a dab on buttercream on the back is fine, but if your accents are a bit big and heavy, i would use Royal Icing, it holds a little better.

If you are attaching to buttercream, buttercream will be fine. But you might want to wait and attach upon delivery if you have some really big ones, or at least take an emergency kit with you to do damage control.

Good Luck.
