I have a bride who has requested a Confetti cake (like Pillsbury) for her August wedding. I have always used box cake mixes but have not made a confetti cake mix before. Has anyone made a fabulous confetti cake that they would like to share? A doctered mix or scratch would be fine.

I haven't made a confetti cake, but I'd imagine any white cake recipe would work, with sprinkles or whatever mixed in.

i use plain ol' mix ...white or yellow (butter recipe if poss)

and then toss in a whole jar or so of multi-colored sprinkles.

and for special event's holidays, can use all one color (green for St. Patty's day, red for Valentines day) or custom mix (red, blue w/ white cake for 4th of July).

I have made two wedding cakes that were all confetti cake. I use a doctored mix and just use regular confetti cake mix with it. It works fine.
