Does anyone know if gumpaste needs to be added to the MMF to do molds. I have a cake to do for my mother-in-law next month. I was going to mold seashells. The ones I have done with plain MMF (no gumpaste) never got stiff or hard. they remained soft. I guess what I need to know is if it is okay to add gumpaste? If so how much to a batch of MMF. I need the molds to be firm and hold their shape on the cake.

1/2 MMF and 1/2 gumpaste...or all gumpaste. I made seashells recently and the gumpaste worked fine.

I use a 50/50 mix and they turn out great, hard but not break your teeth hard
