I'm still pretty new at decorating. I'm making cakes for Friday and Saturday.

Friday = 14" & 10" rounds
Saturday = 12", 9" & 6" rounds

How much icing (I using buttercream - 1/2 butter 1/2 hi-ratio shortening) do I need? Is the wilton chart at all accurate as far as icing amounts go?

I'm trying to get the icing made today as I have to work 1/2 of tomorrow at my normal job and Friday's is needed around lunch time.

TIA

Judi
