When my print head gets clogged, I sit it in a little hot water - shallow enough not to touch metal leads on print head. Is that what you are talking about? I buy my supplies from http://icingimages.com

Also, here is a tip, when I don't use my printer for a while, I put the ink in a ziploc bag and pop it in the frige. Take it out a little while before I use it and let it come to room temperature. That way they don't dry out. Just a tip to try...
