She wants 2 life size shoe boxes covered in fondant with a gum paste shoe on top- (i'm in dallas if that helps) i'm so bad at knowing wht to charge- I don't want to give it away but i don't want to lose the business either?????

I don't know what prices are like on average in Dallas, but I'd charge at least $5 a serving with a minimum of $150 for anything like this. I think you'd be fine if you just figured out how many servings there are in two shoebox-sized cakes, then add the fee for the shoe, depending on how long it will take you and what your hourly wage rate would be. If she says that all she needs is 15 servings, tell her that you have to do a minimum of the number the shoeboxes will serve...Don't let her talk you into charging her for less because that's all she wants.

I wouldn't do it for less than $150 each. One CC member that I know of charges $300+ for one shoebox + gumpaste shoe, and it's worth every penny.
