I am not sure what to charge for a gumpaste bear that would go on top of a 10" cake??...I've not made a figurine that large before..maybe a little larger than the one's that I've seen in these photos for inspiration...they are both from CC. one of them I am not entirely sure who made it...I think I know but I don't want to say someone else...and the second one is by SHogg.

I am thinking of doing the bear with a little blanket draped around him...if that's what the customer decides.

I charge by the hour for things that are above and beyond 'normal cake' decoration. Decide what your hourly rate will be and go from there.

I say the same ..see how long it takes you and go from there. If you never done a Bear, be fair in your time...things get faster the more you do them.
