Ok Mel.. When do you get out ????How did all the desserts go over ?? I bet they were gone in just seconds !!
Are you kidding me?? I am the nurses favorite patient! They were filing in two by two yesterday all day... and they'd act all apologetic about 'disturbing' me, but they were told I had treats, etc. Then they were relieved when I invited them in warmly and told them I wouldn't have brought it all if I didn't want them to stop by! That made them all feel good! But man, they've been taking GREAT care of me, which they'd have done anyway, but now they're doing it with a sugar buzz! hehehehe!
I anticipate that we will be here until Thursday since I had the c. It will of course depend on how things are going. I'm going to be honest, I am hammered right now. 
They have me on a pain regimen, and it keeps me just flighty enough! Hehehe. It's not like I'm all drugged up, but it's that whole combination of limited activity and drugs, etc. It puts you in a slight fog. But when Zach wakes up I am going to give him a little sponge bath and put him in some 'street' clothes. Then I'll take a pic and post it for you all! He is so precious!! And those dimples!! Kill me now... I am a slave. With Alex's blue eyes and Zach's dimples... I am an owned woman! And I don't mind one bit!

I've actually already gotten a huge order for August out of this! She wants a tower of Mounds cupcakes! And a smash cake! (1st b-day obviously) but there were several other ladies that said they were probably going to 'need me' very soon! They all took business cards from me. It was a nice way to get my name out, as well as treat them to something they wholeheartedly deserve!!

Your new little man is one lucky handsome baby. He's gorgeous....isn't it amazing the things are body can make. Good luck and take care of yourself. I had three c's and they are painful and take time to recover from so don't rush your body. Good luck and take care of yourself and your new one!

OK guys, prayer request... seriously!
The nurse came in to do vitals on Zach and me and she was concerned that his breathing was kind of labored. She asked permission to check his blood oxygen levels, then spoke with our ped. and that led to some lab work. So, she came in a little while ago with a neonatal specialist to look at him, (yah, that didn't scare me in the least when he walked in and introduced himself!!!) The specialist told us that the labs showed elevated white count and two other things, which could be indicative of infection, something else, or nothing. 
Our two choices were to watch and wait for 12 hours, then rerun the labs, or move on to more extensive testing, some of which might be painful. The specialist examined Zach and said he didn't show signs of sickness. Zach cried when we changed his pants while the doc was here and he said if it were a lung problem he wouldn't sound that strong, etc. The pediatrician had just thoroughly checked Zach out this morning and said he was very healthy, etc. so that was another vote for 'wait and see'. So... we are waiting... we are seeing... I am praying. I am hopeful that this is just a little glitch and that nothing is wrong, but I won't turn down any positive thoughts you want to send our way to help make this true.
