Hi there
I would love it if someone could post the directions on what cake to use for the hamburger cake and how to decorate it. I have never done a carved cake before so what is the best recipe/type of cake to use.
Thanks

Here's a pic of my hamburger cake.
It was really easy to make, no carving.

I used a variation on the WASC cake and made yellow cake (for the buns) and chocolate cake (for the beef.

I baked the buns in the top and bottom portion of the Betty Crocker Bake-n-Fill pan, it is the perfect shape and size for the hamburger cake. I did'nt fill the top completly full though. The beef part I baked in a regular 8" round pan.

I covered the buns in mmf , and made all the "fixins" out of mmf.

I put the lettuce and onions on top of the bottom bun and then put the chocolate cake on. The chocolate cake is frosted in chocolate frosting to look like beef.
Next I put tomatoes and cheese on the beef and then the top bun. The mustard and ketchup are colored butter cream piped on last.

I'm not very good and directions but I hope that helps, if you have any questions just ask.
Good Luck!
LL
