[size=18]Hi! I am making my own wedding cake in December, it's a hexagon shape and is covered with snowflakes.Do you think it should go on a round or square cake stand? The hotel has both available.

my advice if you can take your bottom pan and place on the stands to see which look you like best.

I would probably go with square, but would like to see the look with the pan before making that decision.

I like the square stand best, also.

square. it goes with the straight sides better, even if the sides arent the same size.

I'm so surprised everyone is saying square! The round match is something I never really questioned, just went with. Strange! icon_smile.gif

Thanks for all your replies. I thought square myself, but wanted other opinions.Great idea to take the pan and try on both shapes.I would never have thought of that doh! No doubt I will be asking for more advice as the clock ticks away... I have started making the gumpaste snowflakes already! thumbs_up.gif
