How do I figure out how many servings one of these cakes will make?? I'm trying to make one for a 1st birthday party, and am not yet sure how many people, but am thinking it will be less than 50. Also, do any of you guys NOT use tapered sizes for each layer, and just use 3 of the same size?? I'm hoping to use 4, 6, and 8 inch pans.... icon_confused.gif Any help greatly appreciated!

The topsy turvy cake in my photos only served about 30-35.

I used all the same size layers and just carved down to get the shape I wanted.
