Can I Subsitute Oil?

Hey everyone.... Im new to this whole baking thing and wanted to make my first cake, I have one question... Im making a WASC cake that calls for Vegetable Oil. Can I substitute it for Corn Oil?

not to sound corny but...

oil is oil is oil is oil....

so if corn oil is what you have,
then corn oil is what you use.

Thank you, I figured that but wasn't sure and didnt want to take my chances... After all corn is a veggie right? icon_razz.gif

you can equally substitute veggie oil...corn oil...canola oil. I don't recommend olive oil, and not sure about flax seed or grapeseed oil.

My dh is looking over my shoulder and also doesn't recommend sesame oil icon_lol.gif.
