I know the price of food has gone up but I was just at Wal-mart and couldn't believe how much Nestle chocolate chips were! Almost $5 for the medium sized bag. I used to pay that for the largest bag. I didn't even see the large bag there. I'm just curious if anyone has found a cheaper place to buy them?

This probably won't help you much but if you have a Sams near you at Christmas time they carry Gherridelli chocolate chips (bittersweet). They are about $9 for a 6# bag. They taste better and work better in baked goods. They are a pretty good chocolate chip considering they are on the low end for quality as chocolate grading goes.

I do live next to a Sams and Costco but I don't have a membership at either one. I was wondering what they had for prices on chocolate chips...although I don't know that I would buy a membership just for cheaper chocolate chips.
