I need help. I am doing the cake for my daughter's graduation class. They want it to have the diamonds around the sides like the cake in the picture but don't want it all done in fondant. They want buttercream frosting on the cake. Can I put fondant decorations on a buttercream frosting. If so how do I go about doing this? Thanks

I just sit mine on there and they stick.
