Has anyone ever tried doing a birch bark cake? Collette Peters did one for her "Collette's Wedding Cakes" book and also Jaques Pastries has one on his website. I am putting the link to the page below. I was thinking of attempting this technique and wondered if anyone else had any success with it. Thanks!

sorry the link does not go to the exact page the picture is on, so from the home page click on galleries, the show stoppers, it is the 14th picture in that gallery.

I'm pretty sure it's a chocolate wrap. He made one like it on his chocolate TV show (I forget the title of the darn thing). There is a sticky on one of the forums on making a chocolate wrap.
Hope that helps a little.

Very nice! I like the leaves, too (and probably much easier to cut than a chocolate wrap)...
