when covering rkt's with fondant, do i need to put a thin layer of icing over it before i cover it? should i shape my "shape" as soon as make them, or do i let them settlt in a pan first? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I suggest putting a coat of icing on the rkt or you may get a bumpy look w/ the fondant. I'd let them settle a little while in the pan. I know mine are way too pliable right after mixing. Good luck!
