Here is my DH's very first attempt at cake decorating. It was for our daughter 8th birthday that was a Pokemon theme. I only made the cakes and BC. Jon did everything else. The stacking and doweling, carving and decorating. It's fondant with gumpaste pieces. The pictures are in my photos. What do you all think?

Hi, this is Jon, thanks a lot everyone for your comments and encouragement, it was definitely a fun project!! Watching Melissa do all of her cakes and helping out with ideas and where I could with them got me interested to do it, but my daughter asking me to do it really got me ambitious. Honestly, if I ever get away from being a computer tech, this is what I'm gonna be into! I'm gonna be doing a Lightening McQueen cake for the youngest boy's birthday on the 10th, we'll see how that goes. Thanks again!!
