I need a cake recipe that will hold up for this type of cake, I haven't ever made one with red velvet and I'm afraid it will be to moist to hold up. I'm putting cream cheese frostin on it.
You can use any cake recipes for a tiered cake. It is the dowels and plates that hold the tiers, not the cake itself.
I prefer the Waldorf-Astoria Red Velvet cake recipe with the cookes frosting.
If you are using cream cheese I recommend the crusting cream cheese icing in the recipe section of CC.
