7-UP Pound Cake

3 barras de mantequilla, suavizada
3 tazas de azúcar
5 huevos
3 tazas de harina self -rising
2 cucharadas de extracto de limón
3 / 4 tazas de 7-Up

Precaliente el horno a 325 grados F. Engrase bien un molde Bundt .
En batidora, crema la mantequilla a velocidad alta.
Agregar el azúcar y cremar hasta que estén palidas.
Añadir los huevos, uno a la vez, batiendo bien después de cada adición.
Bajar la velocidad y poco a poco añadir la harina y mezclar hasta que se una.
Agregar el extracto de limón y la 7-Up.
Vierta la mezcla en molde y hornear durante 1 1/2 horas o hasta que
hecho.

Para el Glaseado:
1 / 4 taza de 7 UP
1 / 2 taza de azúcar
Para hacer el glaseado combinar el 1/4 taza de 7 UP y 1/2 taza de azúcar en una cacerola. Ponerloa hervir a fuego medio, por 2 o 3 minutos o hasta que el azúcar se disuelva
completamente. Aun estando tibio, hacer agujeros en la parte superior con un palillo. Vierta por encima del bizcocho.


ENGLISH


7-UP CAKE

1 1/2 C. (3 sticks) butter, softened
3 C. granulated sugar
5 eggs
3 C. all-purpose flour, sifted (or use cake flour)
2 T. lemon extract
3/4 C. 7-Up
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease well and flour a Bundt or
tube pan.
In a large bowl, cream butter thoroughly. Slowly add sugar and
cream together until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating
well after each addition. Slowly add flour and mix well. Stir in
lemon extract and 7-Up.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until
done.

For the Glaze:
1/4 cup 7 UP
1/2 cup sugar
Make the glaze by stirring together the
1/4 cup 7 UP and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil
over medium heat, and boil 2 or 3 minutes or until sugar is
completely dissolved. Punch holes in top of warm cake with a
toothpick. Spoon glaze over cake, and cool completely before
serving.
