Gum Paste Question

How advisible is putting a cake with a gum paste molded piece on it into the frig? It is a champagne bottle on a cake. It is for a reunion and I do not want to run home to finish it.

humidity in fridg + gumpaste = bad

the moisture can cause it to melt. add it at the last minute, if you can.

I did this once, and the piece I made, collapsed with the added humidity. icon_smile.gif Good luck
