I want to make a baseball hat cake, but I called Michael's here and they don't carry the Wilton SPorts ball cake pan set. They do have the soccer ball pan.. would that work??? It said it could be used for basketballs and softballs as well, but the pictures makes it look like it has the groves of the soccer ball in the pan, so wouldn't those show up on my cap? Or could I just fill them with icing?
Thank You!

The soccer ball pan set does not have grooves in it. I don't have it posted yet, but I just used 1/2 the pan over the weekend to make a graduation cap cake for a party. It would work out fine to make a baseball cap.

oops, I think I read the pan wrong that you want to use. The bigger soccerball pan not the ball set does have grooves in it, but I think you could cover the grooves in frosting and just frost over them.
